Hiccup’s left-handedness and inability to kill Toothless.
He takes care to hold the knife right-handed while declaring himself a Viking and preparing to stab Toothless, but switches it back to his left hand once he realizes he can’t do it, and chooses to cut the ropes to set Toothless free instead.
Animation error or a symbolic parallel of his decision to stay true to himself instead of following the norms of his society?
(I’m siding with symbolism on this one, considering how obvious the animation of him changing the hand holding the knife, and then later staring at it with a guilty expression, is.)
